The Office of the Ombudsperson ensures that members of the university community receive fair and equitable treatment.

What we do

We are advisors, mediators, and investigators. We recommend options and discuss solutions. We have access to relevant information, files and people across campus, but we are not decision makers.

We have no formal or binding authority; however, we consider all sides of a question in an impartial manner to try and find resolution. When you come to us with a question or complaint, we ensure the utmost in confidentiality

Appeal process

If, after hearing our opinion and considering the options, you wish to prepare a formal appeal, we will refer you to the Student Advocacy Service.

Our Philosophy

We are guided in our decisions by Our Philosophy
